The City of Dubai chose a joint venture between Kanadevia Inova and BESIX (Belgium) to build one of the biggest WtE plants in the world. The two companies are general contractors for the turnkey plant, as well as serving as operators and minority shareholders in the project company for 35 years. It’s not just the size of the plant that’s impressive: net energy efficiency of more than 31% also puts it at the very top of the international rankings. Delivery of the project is a key componentof Dubai’s sustainability strategy.

- In a joint venture with the BESIX group, EPC contractor for the turnkey plant, including building construction. After financing, construction and commencement of operation, the plant will be run for 35 years by the consortium before being handed over to the client.
