Culture & Environment

What it feels like to work here.

Most of our work runs across the full lifecycle of a plant: project development, financing, engineering, construction, operations, service and digital optimisation. That means engineers, project teams, site crews, finance, IT and service colleagues rely on each other across countries, disciplines and decades. Teamwork shows up in the small things: sharing what you know early, listening across functions, and staying accountable beyond handovers. People who enjoy delivering complex, long-cycle work in good company tend to feel at home with us.

Safety is both an operating discipline and a culture. We run plants, construction sites and offices that depend on clear standards, careful preparation and a willingness to speak up when something is not right. Across the 17 countries we're present in, people from many backgrounds, professions and life stages work alongside one another, and that mix sharpens how we spot risks and solve problems. We listen, we challenge respectfully, and anyone can raise a concern and expect a serious response. Inclusion is the everyday work of making sure each colleague is heard.

Yes. As our business grows beyond engineering and construction into long-term operations, services and digital optimisation, careers can develop in more than one direction. People deepen technical expertise, move from project delivery into operations or service, take on international assignments, or build experience in asset management, project development and commercial roles. Progression comes through real responsibility, learning, feedback and exposure across the business. The path is not always linear, and that is part of the opportunity.

Our business addresses needs that will only grow over time: waste treatment, renewable energy, decarbonisation, resource circularity and supply security. Beyond building plants, we develop, operate, maintain, optimise and manage assets that serve communities for decades. Our roots go back to 1933 in Switzerland, and since 2010 we have been part of the Kanadevia Corporation, one of Japan’s largest engineering groups. That combination of heritage, long-cycle work and recurring demand creates a clear horizon for the company and for the people who build their careers here.

Life outside work shapes how people show up at work. Beyond the day-to-day, we focus on a strong start for new colleagues, continued learning for everyone, manager support, structured onboarding follow-through and mobility opportunities across countries and roles. Specific health, wellbeing and benefit packages vary by country, and our local teams help colleagues make the most of what is available. The principle is consistent across our 17 countries: demanding work should be sustainable over the long term.
