Zurich, Switzerland — Kanadevia Inova, a global leader in solutions for the energy transition and circular economy, will participate in COP31, the United Nations Climate Change Conference taking place from 9-20 November 2026 in Antalya, Türkiye.

At COP31, Kanadevia Inova will contribute to discussions on how cities can turn climate ambition into practical delivery through affordable, bankable waste and resource-recovery infrastructure. Drawing on experience from projects around the world, the company will engage with policymakers, city leaders, investors and industry partners on solutions that reduce landfill dependence, recover valuable resources from waste and strengthen long-term urban resilience.

Kanadevia Inova welcomes Türkiye’s leadership in bringing waste, resource recovery and circular-city development more prominently into the global climate conversation. This focus recognises the role that integrated Waste-to-X infrastructure can play in reducing methane emissions, supporting resource circularity and supplying essential local energy.

Kanadevia Inova CEO Bruno-Frédéric Baudouin said: “The climate case for better waste management is increasingly understood. The next step is delivery. COP31 provides an important opportunity to discuss how proven infrastructure can help cities treat waste as a resource, reduce landfill dependence and become cleaner, more circular and more resilient.”

Throughout the conference, Kanadevia Inova will contribute to panels, roundtables and stakeholder discussions focused on circular cities, advanced waste infrastructure, resource recovery, renewable energy, methane reduction and emerging decarbonisation technologies. The company will highlight pioneering projects from its global portfolio across Waste-to-X, renewable gas and carbon capture.

Kanadevia Inova's Istanbul Waste-to-Energy plant provides a local example of this infrastructure in action. Originally engineered and built by Kanadevia Inova, it is Europe's largest municipal solid waste-to-energy plant. The facility can treat one million tonnes of waste a year - roughly the weight of 100 Eiffel Towers - generate around 77 MW of electricity and process approximately 15% of Istanbul's municipal solid waste. Visits to the facility will be open to COP31 delegates passing through Istanbul, where possible and subject to availability and operational requirements.
