About the Project

Dubai’s flagship Waste to X project.

Kanadevia Inova, together with BESIX Group, delivered one of the world’s most ambitious Waste to X projects: the Dubai Waste Management Centre. Commissioned by Dubai Municipality, we designed, built and operate this facility, which uses ultra-large combustion technology to turn municipal waste into clean, reliable energy.

As a cornerstone of Dubai’s “Net Zero 2050” strategy, this project sets new benchmarks for efficiency and sustainability.

  • Five high-capacity lines, each with a nominal throughput of 53.6 tonnes per hour

  • Boiler design: four-pass boiler

  • Robust three-stage flue gas treatment system
