About the project

Kanadevia Inova is proud to support the Earls Gate Energy Centre in Grangemouth with a long-term, 25-year Operations & Maintenance contract. The facility is a key milestone in Scotland’s shift towards a low-carbon, circular economy.

Solution

Generating 21.5 MW of electricity

The Earls Gate Energy Centre is a modern Waste to X facility that processes up to 274,000 tonnes of municipal waste each year, generating 21.5 MW of electricity. Operating as a high-efficiency Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant, it provides both heat and power to a private network within a major industrial complex — delivering stable, sustainable energy where it is needed most.

At its core, the plant relies on proven technology: a Martin grate for robust combustion, a CNIM boiler system, and a Siemens turbine-generator set for efficient power production. LAB flue gas treatment ensures the facility meets stringent environmental standards at all times.

Kanadevia Inova’s long-term engagement reflects our commitment to future-ready Waste to X solutions that support environmental protection, resource recovery and regional economic development.
